This handsome young dog has been a very precocious blood tracker. He was instinctively tracking a liver drag at the age of six weeks. He showed exceptional promise in his training on artificial blood lines. Late in the fall 2004 we took him out to find a ten pointer when the hunter has run out of blood to trail by. Billy cold trailed the buck for three hundred yards, and then we jumped him. Billy then followed relentlessly for more than two miles before we caught up with the buck. He showed that he had the focus and drive to stay on the right line and ignore healthy deer tracks. Now that Sabina has passed we expect that Billy will take over.

Billy finished his field championship with three first placements. He has what we are looking for in a stud dog: stamina, agility, nose, drive, excellent temperament and conformation.  He sired two nice litters out of FC Gela von Rauhenstein and FC Gilda v Moosbach-Zuzelek. We have kept Keena out of Gilda's litter. In 2007 he sired two more litters - one for Carl Eisenhard, out of Blue Hill Alice, and another one for Dick Chapman, out of Heidi Yergz.

John, Billy and a bear they recovered together in October 2006.

Billy recovered this buck in October 2007 but unfortunately coyotes got there first.
